Today, the USMLE Program announced that the temporary suspension of USMLE Step 2 CS testing will continue through May 31, 2020. The Step 2 CS exam is one of the key components to obtaining a license to practice medicine as part of any graduate medical education (residency training) program, and likewise necessary for IMGs to obtain ECFMG Certification, which is required of all IMGs before they can begin residency training in the United States.
